Today's Reading

1. What is God Like?

Psalm 105

v. 8: He keeps His word.

v. 14: He keeps those who are trusting in Him safe while they wait for His promise.

v. 16: He uses even natural disasters to pave the way for His promise to be fulfilled.

v. 19-22: He vindicates individuals who have publicly and truthfully spoken His word.

v. 23-38: He directs people and events so that even disasters serve His working of justice on the earth. His justice publicly shows His loyalty to His people. He uses His power to defeat their enemies.

v. 39-41: He overturns the laws of nature to provide for His people's needs and desires. to show His love.

v. 45: His purpose in claiming a people and pledging His love and strength ts so that they will keep His precepts and be a public evidence of His love and justice to the world.
